It’s playoff time. If you are reading this right now, you play for keeps. It’s time to make the tough decisions. If I don’t include any of the players you are debating on starting this week, send a tweet or DM to the Loaded Box Podcast.
QB: Aaron Rodgers vs Washington Redskins
If he says he is going to get hot, he is going to get hot. People talk like Rodgers is a toss up from week to week but last time I checked he is still QB6. Our standards for Rodgers are so high, that if he isn’t in the top three fantasy quarterbacks, he is considered streamable. That’s idiocy at its finest.
QB: Tyler (Ryan) Tannehill vs Oakland Raiders
The Raiders are surrendering the fourth most points to QB’s this year. Tyler has been playing out of his mind since he was given the starting job. The best thing about him, is that he is scoring you points with his legs. If you don’t understand the Tyler reference go check out our most recent podcast link at the bottom of this article. I don’t want these fucktards in my mentions.
RB: Sony Michel vs Kansas City Chiefs
If Michel is on your roster, he is a must start this week. Nobody focuses on a teams weakness more than Bill Belichick. At least once a year he runs the ball about 40 times. This will be that game. Michel will feast.
RB: Le’Veon Bell vs Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have been one of the worst teams against running backs for two years straight. The Jets haven’t been great running the ball but if there is ever a game where they show success, it’s against Miami. Plug Bell in and look for 20+ points.
WR: D.J. Moore vs Atlanta Falcons
Moore has been Kyle Allen’s favorite target the last two weeks and now he faces the Falcons who give up 25 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. I expect Allen to continue to lock in on Moore as he regresses as a quarterback.
WR: Courtland Sutton vs Houston Texans
Sutton has been an absolute monster this year. Drew Lock is going to rely on Sutton to make plays for him and he will. Oh, he will. Texans secondary has been sub par this year and I love this match up for a guy who is scorching hot.
TE: Vance McDonald vs Arizona Cardinals
It’s the playoffs so I decided to give you a tight end this week. If it doesn’t work out don’t blame me. I hate tight ends. Also he plays the Cardinals. The team that forgets that tight ends can catch passes
Defense: Green Bay Packers vs Washington Redskins
The Skins are still one of the worst offenses in the league and the Packers are super opportunistic. One of the best turnover differential teams in the league versus an erratic rookie. Should be a fun game for Packers fans.
QB: Matt Ryan vs Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are really good against quarterbacks because they apply pressure and move them out of their comfort zone. Matt Ryan has not looked comfortable all year. Also… he sucks and I hate him.
QB: Jimmy Garoppolo vs New Orleans Saints
Jimmy G is not a hard guy to plan for. If you can slow down their run game and force him to beat you with his arm, you are in good shape. The saints are tied for fourth with 40 sacks. This will cause Jimmy to make errand throws that lead to turnovers.
RB: Any Colts RB vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This team has consistently stopped the run in 2019. I don’t know who is going to get a majority of the carries for the Colts and I don’t really care. Find a better option
RB: Bo Scarbrough vs Minnesota Vikings
It is the playoff and this is no time to get cute. Although the Vikings have really struggled against the pass they are stout against the run. The Lions may struggle to get pass the 50 yard line in this game.
WR: Terry Mclaurin vs Green Bay Packers
If you have not been paying attention, I will inform you. Jaire Alexander has completely taken wide receivers out of the game. I don’t think Packers fans are appreciating that he is shutting down half the field this year. On top of that, the Redskins want to establish the run and keep Dwayne Haskins from turning the ball over. They clearly do not trust him.
WR: Tyler Lockett vs LA Rams
Lockett did almost nothing in last weeks matchup vs the Vikings. Now has to face Jalen Ramsey. I know he is difficult to sit but it’s the right thing to do.
